About Me
Ever since high school, I was the person who was asked, "How do you spell misspelling?" Or, "What does this word mean?"

From the first day of my career, co-workers would inquire, "Write this, please, can you?" And, "Can you proofread this? It needs to be perfect!" I have always been proud of this ability to be useful by helping others with their communications.

Since then, my 20-plus years working for companies large and small have grounded me in what it takes to communicate professionally and effectively. I have worked in the industries listed below as a publications coordinator, editor, proofreader, writer, administrative assistant or sales professional.

Automobile industry — 2 years
E-commerce — 10 years
Creative property licensing — 5 years
Offset printing and finishing — 11 years

Marketing/advertising — 25 years
Medical products industry — 7 years
Not-for-profit organizational work — 3 years
Trade show production — 8 years

In June 2009 I earned a certificate in editing from University of Washington Extension. My studies helped me update and quantify my editing skills so that I could accelerate my full-time freelance work.
